SOS from Rome Fiumicino

I have been at the airport since 11 pm last night. It is now 7 pm.

Before we left our hostel last night, we checked our flight status, and we were still scheduled to leave Rome early in the morning. When we arrived at the airport, our flight was one of very few flights that had not been cancelled, which we were really happy about! However, when we woke up at 5 am to check in, it had been cancelled.

A flight from Rome to Athens, cancelled because of a volcanic eruption in Iceland...why??

So now, I am stuck in the airport until Monday, at least. Our airline tried to book us into a hotel, but every one is full. So much for my last night in the airport!!

Please pray that our flights, as well as Courtney's flight, will work out so that we can meet up again, and that we make it back to the UK in good time to catch our flights back home to Canada!
