I was away this weekend, visiting the church I will be partnering with during my 10 Day Outreach. My team had a great time meeting our host families and the church members, and beginning our planning for ten day outreach. We will be kept quite busy during our ten day outreach. We are in charge of 4 church services, 2 or 3 school assemblies, a women's prayer meeting/devotional time (Samuel is not a part of this), a netball outreach, 2 youth club nights, a lunchtime program at a high school, spending time at a care home...I'm sure there's more, but I can't remember it all off the top of my head!
The church is very small--definitely not something I'm used to. The pastor said the Sunday morning service varies between 30 and 60 people attending. They also have a service in the evening, which there were about 15 people at yesterday. The church members are all really friendly and I'm looking forward to getting to know them better.
In other news, one of the lecturers I have this week used to be a professional drummer! He is probably about 65 years old now. Anyway, he promised us a drum solo at some point during the lectures, so I'm quite looking forward to that!
Also, I have decided what I want to study next year. I feel really good and at peace about the decision I made and I'm looking forward to going to U of S in autumn.
